HSA/FSA questions

What are HSA and FSA accounts?

They are U.S. accounts that offer tax advantages for qualified medical expenses. An HSA is a Health Savings Account; an FSA is a Flexible Spending Account. Ask your plan administrator about your account’s rules.

Who can use this option?

This program is for qualified U.S. customers with eligible accounts and purchases. Truemed assesses medical necessity; owning an HSA/FSA account alone does not make every purchase eligible.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?

An LMN is a clinician’s statement that a particular product or service is medically necessary for you. Truemed may arrange one after its assessment. Your administrator can still approve or deny a claim under your plan’s rules.

How much will I save?

Tax savings vary with your income, tax rates and circumstances. HSA/FSA use is not a store discount, and a fixed saving is not promised.

When will my letter arrive?

Timing depends on Truemed’s assessment. Follow the information provided during the process and contact Truemed if your letter has not arrived.

Can I split payment or pay with a regular card?

Use the payment options offered in your Truemed checkout. If a regular card and reimbursement are offered, follow the provided instructions. Contact Truemed about split payment for your purchase.

Can I use this outside the United States?

This Truemed program is for eligible U.S. purchases. Customers shopping in other regions can use the store’s standard payment methods.

What if I do not qualify?

You can buy using a standard payment method. For questions about the assessment or an existing payment, contact Truemed. Approval and reimbursement are not guaranteed.
